The first Guangzhou Nansha International Sailing Festival staged a wonderful opening ceremony. After the opening ceremony, Nansha Yacht Club President Huo Qishan accepted media interviews to answer questions about the sailing festival activities and the significance and development planning of the sailing festival.

Professional sailing athletes from 7 countries and regions including China, Hong Kong, China, Chinese Taipei, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Russia participated in the sailing invitational tournament. More than 40 professional sailing athletes sailed passionately in Nansha Bay, braved the wind and waves, and launched fierce competition. After three days and six rounds of field games, the Singapore team won the championship, the Russian team won the second place, and the Indian team won the third place.
